www.xylem.com Industrial Engineer - Monitoring & Control
We are looking for an Industrial Engineer for department Design for Manufacturing & Localization.
There are 12 people in the department today working in roles such as product coordinator, project manager and design engineer, to this we are now adding a role as industrial engineer.
The department is responsible for the industrialization part of product development projects and engineering changes. We also provide general support to both manufacturing sites, mainly within Water Infrastructure but also to other sites within Xylem that produce Water Infrastructure products.
As industrial engineer in this team you will play an important part in supporting production of products with built-in electronics, both during introduction of new products and engineering changes to existing products. You will also be involved in developing processes for managing upgrades of these products.
For the coming years there will be an increased focus on reducing end to end cost for our products, as part of that identifying opportunities and executing projects will be critical. This will be a joint effort with other parts of the organization.
This role is located in Emmaboda.
Responsibilities:
* Work with continuous improvement and identify value engineering opportunities.
* Participate in projects for development of new products, when needed manage subset of activities.
* Work with selection of method and process when introducing new products and parts.
* Participate in manufacturing reviews both internally and with suppliers when changes are made to processes or parts and new products are introduced.
* Work with validation of processes when new hardware or software is introduced.
* Act as support to Product Coordinator for product assortment, when needed act as backup.
* Support manufacturing engineers in production with problem solving when needed.
Qualifications
* University degree or equivalent experience in Engineering.
* Project Planning skills
* Good analytical skills
* Good knowledge of production technologies and processes
* Good knowledge of applying mechatronics in production.
* Continuous Improvement mindset
* Knowledge of IoT technology
* Fluent in spoken and written English.
* Fluent in spoken and written Swedish
* Experience from PLC-programming is an advantage
* Knowledge in programming is advantageous
