EMEA Engineering Operations is a unit within BNEP - EITTE. The EMEA Engineering Operations is responsible for the delivery of Engineering IT Services, Test Capacity and Support to the Business. The deliveries are in general to deliver the IT Services to the local and remote users according to agreed service levels. We operate according to Service Delivery processes, supporting IT & EITTE strategy.
Technology is a unit within EITTE EMEA Engineering Operations with the main focus being to define and drive technology directions for Engineering Operations organization, covering the following:
• EITTE internal products per Area
• EITTE Target Architecture and Roadmaps
• EITTE Services and Applications Development and Deployment/Operations
• Technology Expert competence both internally as well as in external dialogues/technical fora
• Security best practice and knowledge sharing across EITTE
• Innovation Management within own responsibility area.
Job Description - Technology ICT Architect
Functional scope: EITTE Network and Target architecture evolution, prototypes and POC's, new product/solution development, standardization, technology scouting.
Portfolio Scope: Engineering Environment focus, Cloud infrastructure (IT and NFV), network infrastructure (DC, WAN, Transport), IoT, infra aaS and WoW, Application Development Platform, Platforms, Engineering supporting & common services, Security, Engineering Tools & Applications.
Responsibility:
• System/Architecture design
• Perform Continuous Analysis and Requirement Handling
• Support alignment and synergies from a technology and architecture perspective across EITTE portfolio
• Support EITTE product/solution development efficiency through system architecture and component/platform choices
• Drive and execute Technology Leadership activities, with EITTE Target Architecture focus: Studies, Proof of Concept and Prototyping
• Support competence build-up and knowledge sharing for technology and portfolio area
• Support Alignment with other technology functions in EITTEAdditional:
• Close cooperation and communication with relevant Business & Product Development functions
• Work closely with EITTE development and SPM to translate the customer needs, and technology opportunities into network architectures and product portfolio
• Drive Continuous Improvements of Products and Processes
We are looking for experienced/expert ICT Architects to be involved in different Technology areas and to take part in the development activities like requirement analysis, feasibility, design, integration, product/solution documentation. We are interested to people who want to take an active role in driving a technical transformation of the EITTE Target Architecture and Services and Applications Roadmaps.
Competence:
• Technology & Architecture
• Solid understanding of the technology and market trends in Cloud and Virtualization
• Knowledge of NFV and IT cloud providers' situations and demands
• Insight to judge the impact of new emerging technologies and trends on EITTE Target Architecture
• Insight in the modelling of Systems and Architecture
• Passion for technology and track record of continuous learning and growing talent
• Fundamental technical competence in relevant architectures and components with a good understanding of the technology itself
• Track record of driving Change / Transformation
• Track record of driving innovation including identifying needs and translating innovative ideas into products and solutions
• Knowledge in IT products, solutions and Network architecture
• Experience in lean & agile ways of working and its implementation in large organizations.
• Proven track record of being a team player, with ability to inspire others
Minimum Qualifications & Experience Requirements:
• BSc level in a technical discipline or the equivalent level of knowledge
