The role as a Hardware Engineer
As a hardware engineer, you are instrumental in the development of technical hardware solutions related to electronics and controlling OnDosis medical devices, as well as being an important contributor in the overall development of the product.
You are actively contributing to the whole development chain from system requirements, system design to development, validation and product release as well as actual experience of a product you have taken part in developing making a real impact on patients' health.
Key responsibilities
• Responsible for designing and developing Hardware platforms and project solutions in a new product and the next generations of products.
• Responsible for planning, strategizing and delivering a solution able to accommodate complexities in OnDosis' business
• Responsible for leading the HW development and achieve technical goals
• Responsible for leading assigned engineers if any
• Actively take part of the System risk analysis and lead the Hardware Risk analysis
• - Participate in Planning and Executing Verification and Validation on products and prototypes
• - Responsible for Planning and Execution of Hardware parts of Verification and Validation on products and prototypes
• Responsible for designing and implementing Hardware solutions from requirements to production and commercial deployment
• Responsible for designing test boards if and when needed
• Responsible for working according to and ensuring compliance with OnDosis ISO13485 Quality Management System
Requirements and skills
Mandatory:
Electronics Engineer with a minimum 5 years of professional experience from Medical Device development and/or 10 years within Electronics systems development.
Hardware architecture skills
Experience in designing Printed circuit boards with Altium
Specific knowledge in Nordic Semiconductor stack.
Experience in Risk analysis ISO14971
Experience from IEC60601-1electrical medical equipment
Experience with working with batteries and/or motors
Documentation skills and experience with working within a Quality Management System
Fluent in English
Preferred:
• Experience in designing production tests for manufacturing of Electronics
• Experience in designing test platforms for electronics verification
As a person you have good interpersonal skills and have the ability to work in teams as well as individually. You are structured and ready to dig deeper into details if needed. To succeed in the role you need to show a hands-on passion and be able to communicate your ideas and concepts both verbal and visually. You have a desire to learn from new challenges and have the flexibility to respond quickly to changing context and work environment.

The role will be located in AstraZeneca BioVentureHub in Mölndal
