Volvo Group Trucks Technology - Powertrain Engineering is the strategic centre for powertrain development in the Volvo Group. The scope covers complete powertrain systems, components such as engines, transmissions, driven axles and design of powertrain solutions for the future such as hybrid drivelines and engines for alternative fuels. Powertrain Engineering is global and has sites in Sweden, France, Spain, North and South America and Japan.

Electromobility is a development organization co-located together with the electricity sales and market event team in a building within the Lundby area, in total 105 people.

Electrical Components is a 24 people group with great go ahead spirit and we are responsible for a wide range of Electromobility components and systems such as electric machines, charging and energy storage. Since 2009 our solutions are in serial production and our focus now is full electric vehicles with the complete Volvo Group in mind.

Hardware Electronics Engineer - Component Owner
As component owner for electronic hardware you are responsible for one or more electronic control units as well as a few electrical and electromechanical components. The detailed development is often outsourced which means that you will work closely with external suppliers as well as our in-house development and system organization. You have a key role when taking new suppliers on board and you are responsible for making sure that each supplier understands the Volvo requirements as well as the customer and application needs.

Highlights
• Refine and release existing as well as new specifications and give feedback on specifications written by others.
• Be responsible for communicating requirement specifications to the supplier and will together with the supplier create and maintain integration plans.
• Drive the release process within Volvo.
• Support functional verification and fault tracing in vehicles as well as in rigs and lab environment.
• Review supplier design documents, working process and time plans, when needed also on supplier sites.
• You report to the Engineering Leaders and Group Manager
