The ideal guest services officer is comfortable showing initiative in order to resolve all guest issues, accepts ownership for accomplishing new and different requests, and adheres to GAS, SQM, complies with organizational standards and procedures. This guest services officer is comfortable extending assistance in order to resolve guest issues and ensure strong guest satisfaction.
Our most successful GSO's have an outgoing nature and enthusiasm for working with people. They greet guests with a friendly, sincere welcome, show empathy when listening to guest concerns and enjoy playing a key role in delivering a positive first and lasting impression of RCCL for guests. They communicate enthusiastically and accurately.
A fast pace, an adaptable outlook and a multi-tasking approach to task accomplishment. The ideal guest services officer works productively under high deadline stress, demonstrates quick, flexible responses in time-sensitive situations, and looks for efficient ways to resolve guest issues and 'Deliver the Wow'.
Good attention to detail, a need for exactness, strong compliance to protocol and a concern for quality. The ideal guest services officer has a meticulous mindset for maintaining current knowledge of all ship's regular events and special functions, providing accurate cash and guest account services at the Guest Services desk, and assisting guests with immigration and customs procedures and forms.
