Volvo Autonomous Solutions is a new entity within the Volvo Group with the mission to offer transport and material handling solutions never seen before. There is now an opportunity for you to be part in the development of autonomous transport solutions. We are now looking for a Group Manager Software Development Toolchain that will be part of the Infrastructure team in Volvo Autonomous Solutions (V.A.S).
Global Technology Area Infrastructure is the organization making sure we are enabling a modern approach to software development. We are creating new state-of-the-art solutions and connect them to the strengths of the Volvo Group, acting as a turbocharger on the Volvo Group engine.
We do this in the fields of Software Development, Simulations and Data Management. We believe in collaboration and partnerships, both internally in the Volvo Group and even more importantly with the solution providers of the area, incumbent and start-ups.
What will you be doing?
You will be heading the Software development toolchain group where we are working with continuous integration and deployment, release management and configuration management. As group manager you are expected to engage, inspire and lead the team as well as the product forward to success. How this is accomplished is partly up to you as the role is new and you will have the possibility to influence it.
Who are you?
You are eager to excel and take pride in both the soft values of leading people as well as your product deliveries. You are young or old, male or female, have a suitcase full of experience or the drive to fill one. What is valued is your mindset and wish to make this happen.
Experience in software development is important and you understand that building rapidly with continuous integration is important, but is not worth much without the capability to deploy the software and provide feedback to developers. Familiarity with Volvo Group CI/CD and toolchains, GitLab and/or Jama is valued.
