The Electromobility Department is responsible for developing electromobility solutions and to secure a stepwise implementation in different segments/regions. This organization develop and drives the electromobility product portfolio for Trucks & Buses as well as creating opportunities for all business areas within the Volvo Group. At Energy Storage Systems (ESS) we are accountable for the lifecycle management of the ESS, from advanced engineering, throughout product development into the maintenance phase.
We now recruiting a Group Manager Pack Design ESS
In this position, you will be part of the Pack Design and Thermal Management section management team, an organization dedicated to technology as well as empowering and developing our employees. We always use customer satisfaction as the ultimate performance measurement.

Responsibilities / Main tasks
As Group Manager, you are responsible for the development of the team and the development of the products. With us, you need to be an accessible Manager who leads and, with focus on individual development, forms a high performing team. You are responsible for ensuring that resources both short- and long term are positioned correctly. You will create the conditions necessary for the team to develop and to meet the requirements of quality, efficiency and shortened lead times.
Technically you will be the overall responsible for the products in the group including battery pack housings, connector boxes and connected components like brackets and carriers. As a group manager you will be overall responsible for the lifecycle of your portfolio of components. Through technical leadership on a holistic level you will secure products with high customer value throughout its lifecycle. To secure this one important factor is cross functional alignment. As a leader you will secure cross functional cooperation with other functions to secure aligned plans both short term and long term.

To be successful in this position you need to have experience of people management, either through direct reports or as a functional leader. Technical experience from component development and supplier management is needed. Experience from battery pack design and Volvo Group development processes are strong merits.
You will be part of a cross-functional and international environment, with English as a natural language for written and spoken communication. Personal fit will be of great importance in this recruitment, as we are actively working to build a diverse team in terms of experience, gender and backgrounds.
