Mainframe CICS System ProgrammerAs a CICS System Programmer, candidate will be part of a Global team responsible for building, configuring, and maintaining the mainframe systems availability, efficiency, and resilience, underpinned by the architectural principle of cloned infrastructure, system configurations, applications. Key Responsibilities/DutiesPerform mainframe CICS software upgrades coupled with administration and tuning to support mainframe environments. Provide high degree of technical support (24, 7) to reduce the likelihood of significant service outage or disaster. Analyze new versions of CICS for functionality, improve systems performance, and reduce cost. Tracking and analyzing performance and resource utilization of CICS systems. Recommend changes, upgrades, and enhancements based on the technical analysis. Perform problem diagnostics and resolutions as well. Participate in incident and problem management activities related to applications and CICS. Encourage and ensure collaboration across functional users and vendors to provide guidance and manage different tasks with a can-do attitude. Execute project and internal initiative responsibilities as assigned or delegated. Walking ahead by being enthusiastic and responsible for strengthening and developing system skills. Develop and maintain operational documentation, best practices, and run books for the operational platform. Upskill junior systems programmers. Skillset Have 8+ years of experience of installing and/or customizing mainframe CICS environments. Have experience with CTG, CICSplex, CICS Explorer to manage CICS systems. Solid understanding of resource definitions and its dependencies. Experience with ISV products like Sysview/Omegamon/Mainview, Fault Analyzer, Debug tool, IBM PA, SYMDUMP/INTEREST and CAFC. Basic dump analysis skills on IPCS. Experience in cloning and sunsetting CICS regions. Understanding of CICS security with ACF2/RACF/Top secret. Exposure to working with SMF 110 records and its practical application in terms of problem determination. Strong problem determination skills in both system and application areas. Experience working with and maintaining other vendor tools for CICS as well as exposure to common z/OS tools like SDSF RMF etc. Experience with basic aspects of IMS/MQ/DB2 administration and operations. Experience and knowledge in working on SMPE. Added Advantage SkillsetProgramming skills - COBOL, PL/1, C, REXX, AssemblerProficiency with debugging application abends to assist programmers refine code. Experience with automating CICS events via CICSplex RTA and/or system automation tools on z/OS. Experience with design, configuration and supporting Application community running Critical / 24 7 applications. Language Requirement English Location EU countriesEducation from an accredited University or CollegeBE/BTECH, ME/MTECH, MCA or matching knowledge/skill level achieved in other ways. (1.) To identify attrition percentage in accounts and take up initiatives to reduce the same (2.) To perform value addition activities (CIP & SIP) and implement strategies to improve productivity. (3.) To implement Profit Implement Plan (PIP), review Budget vs. Actual Cost and analyse the deviation to plan strategies to reduce deviation through levers like Automation & self-driven initiatives. (4.) To ensure retention of accounts that are due for renewal or maintain high level of customer satisfaction (ACSAT) (5.) To ensure that all responsibilities and project deliverables are completed within SLAs through effective team management and monthly reviews (6.) To ensure generation of an account level EE & EN revenue (7.) To ensure absorption of freshers as per the defined account targets
