Our CFO will be on maternity leave starting beginning of 2010 and approx one year onwards. We are looking for a temporary replacement for her during this period.
Axel Christiernsson is a leading lubricating grease manufacturer in Europe, with production sites in Sweden, the Netherlands and France. AXEL is part of the Fairford group and an independent operator in the lubricants industry. The Group management is located in Nol, Sweden 25 km north of Göteborg whereas operational management is spread over the three sites. The AXEL Group has 126 employees whereof 58 people in Nol. AXEL is looking for a temporary replacement for our Group Finance Manager/CFO for approx one year during her maternity leave starting in January 2010. The CFO reports directly to the CEO of AXEL. The CFO is a Member of the Group Management Team.
The function includes the following:
• Both fiscal and management reporting functions with control and analysis as well as a substantial part on investments and acquisitions.
• IT management with focus on effective reporting systems for the group management.
• Functional management and coordination of reporting from the different operating units.
• Staff responsibility for two IT personnel and dotted lines to the Finance Managers in the respective operating unit. The book keeping for the mother company is performed by the finance department at the Swedish unit, Axel Christiernsson AB.
Key accountabilities:
• Group accounting guidelines, tracking of local accounting deviations
• Consolidation of statutory and group management accounting
• Budget processes including Transfer Pricing
• Annual report and liaison with group auditors
• Investment evaluation and control
• Cash management and bank contacts
• Internal control and analysis
• IT Policy
• Acquisition projects
• Group KPI for Finance, Personnel and Information Technology (KPI= Key Performance Indicator)
• Board material and meetings
• Yearly review of business plan
• Monitor ERP implementation in the French organisation (internal project leader exists)
• Specific projects as may be defined
Education
Relevant academic degree i.e Master of Science in Business Administration or the equivalent.
Experience
International business experience and five to ten years of staff management. Experience as CFO/Controller including IT management.
Competence
• Team working and leadership skills
• Analytical skills
• Proactive with a high portion of initiative and operative skills
• High integrity
• Acting - not reacting
Languages
Fluent English and Swedish are essential. Language skills in Frenchand/or Dutch are beneficial.
