Are you passionate about learning and sharing new technology? Do you have the drive to find out the answers? Would you like to be part of a global team? Then you can be our new Global Technical Trainer at Volvo buses.
Volvo Bus continuously develops new buses, components and systems. Recent development includes Electromobility products, which are lowering the emissions and the environmental impact. In our Global Service Training department, we develop training material in line with the changes on products and components. To cover the different development sites we have team members located in Sweden, Poland, Mexico and India. Right now we need to strengthen the team in Sweden.
To make our customers successful, we need skilled technicians in Volvos dealership. We train the trainers in the market companies, so that they in turn can train technicians in the dealer and customer workshops.
Job description
You will develop training material together with our content developers. You will perform training activities to trainers in our market companies, as well as to dealer technicians and sometimes even customer technicians.
As our colleague you will be part of a small, dedicated, global team within Volvo Bus, with a network of roughly 75 skilled trainers globally. We are now looking for somebody who wants to increase the competence of technicians in Volvo Truck & Bus dealership.

Who are you?
To become a trustworthy trainer in our team, we expect you to have a great interest in buses, bus components and what technicians need to understand about the new technology.
You will support our market trainers and develop practical learning exercises for workshop technician. Therefore a good understanding of heavy vehicle construction, fault tracing, repair and maintenance is a must.
Your training activity can take place in any country in which Volvo Bus is involved, which means you must be prepared to travel to various countries and perform your training in English.
Required Knowledge/Experience:
• Technical knowledge and workshop experience
• Fault tracing experience
• Compose efficient training sessions and activities, based on customer needs
• Develop practical exercises for trainers and technicians
• Cooperate and seek information from different channels and different persons
• Work cost and target oriented with a proactive approach
• Perform train-the-trainer sessions to cascade the courses to market trainers
• Comply with the quality and safety standards of the organization
• Develop personal, professional and technical skills on an on-going basis
• Improve teamwork and communication between team members and other departments
• Complete given tasks thoroughly and timely according to release schedule
• Perform the training in English
• Other language skills is an advantage
