Ballast water treatment is one of the big growth potentials in the maritime industry, driven by environmental legislation. PureBallast - a system developed by Alfa Laval and Wallenius Water, prevents the spread of invasive organisms between the oceans. We have a market leading position since the launch in 2006, and we sell systems to ship owners and shipyards worldwide. In the coming years the business in this global market will grow rapidly. We will extend our team with a passionate Global Project Manager to our Global Sales & Business Development teams. So, what are you going to do today?

Who you are
About the jobYou will be the main point of contact for some of our Sales and Business development projects that runs across regions. You will also be responsible for developing sales strategies and go to market actions including developing major frame agreements for global customers.
Main tasks include:

Coordinate and follow up assigned projects
Monitor progress and performance against the project plans
Liaise with business managers and local sales offices for penetrating local markets
Setting, following-up and reporting on business targets and actions
Gathering market information
Negotiate and handle global contracts

Who are youYou have a strategic mindset and ability to take a project concept and turn it into fully implementable business opportunity. You also have structured approach to execute and follow up projects. As a person you are customer- and goal oriented with strong communication skills and a positive mindset. You can both establish and maintain excellent external & internal contacts and have an ability to find common solutions across regions and stakeholders.You are a team player and are good at motivating others. Perhaps you are working with sales targeting the marine industry today and are prepared to take on new challenges.
What you know

Technical sales experience, preferably from the Maritime industry
Technical educational background on university level or a corresponding business degree
An ability to manage international projects
Experience of commercial negotiations including legal matters of T&C
Great skills in English both in speech and in writing

The PureBallast product is marketed and sold entirely by Alfa Laval and you will act within the global Alfa Laval organization, with many international contacts, both internally and externally. The position is located at our office in Tumba, in the Stockholm region. Expected number of travel days is >60 days/year
