We are now looking for a Global Product Manager.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
As Product Manager you will have the main responsibility for a range of products and you will work to achieve the business targets for those. You will manage the entire product life cycle - from strategic planning to tactical activities. Examples of responsibilities:
Develop the strategy for your products and product categories Work closely with the engineering manager and other counterparts to develop the product roadmap Define products to meet and fulfill the strategy and roadmaps Together with other Product Managers secure a great Axis product and solution offering Work closely with R&D, operations, marketing and sales in the different phases of the product lifecycle Making sure you have a good understanding of the competition and market needs
As a product manager at Axis, you will work with many people across the organisation and across the globe. You will also interact externally with customers, partners and suppliers. It is important to enjoy working with people and to be able to build and maintain an extensive network. Travelling up to 40 days per year is required.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We are looking for a person who is socially skilled and used to an international environment with a proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority. You have an eagerness to learn new things and are being motivated by the possibility to make a difference. You are also analytic and structured with the ability to drive things forward.
A relevant University degree is essential and so is good computer skills. You are fluent in English and both your verbal and written skills are excellent.
You have the following experience:
At least 5 year's experience from product management or business development within a company working on the global market Excellent understanding of business and market dynamics and documented success defining and launching products Experience from working with Business cases and/or cost analysis as well as documented experience from roles to drive and deliver results Good technical understanding of network products Experience from the security industry or other relevant industries is a plus
THE PRODUCT MANAGEMENT
Product Management is responsible for all video hardware products at Axis. Our scope includes e.g. portfolio planning, product planning, managing the products' life cycle, education & training and handling of complex support issues. Our interfaces are both internal such as R&D, Sales & Marketing and Operations as well as external customers, partners and suppliers.
Within Product Management we have three different teams; Product Managers, Product Specialists and the Product Introduction Management.
