Hitachi Energy's HVDC & HVDC Service global product group is the world's leading provider of high-voltage direct current (HVDC) solutions that enable our customers to build, and be part of, a more sustainable, flexible and secure grid.
As the Global Product Group (GPG) Communications Manager, you are responsible for leading the GPG's internal and external communications programs across geographies and stakeholders to maximize visibility and support the business strategy, thereby helping to improve market position and customer retention. You are also responsible for ensuring executional excellence in all communications measures for the global business and for supporting business management in all communications matters. You will report directly to the Global Business Unit (BU) Communications Manager, BU Grid Integration.
Your responsibilities
Develop GPG integrated communications plans, budget and processes in close collaboration with GPG management, project management, R&D, Marketing and Sales, and Service in alignment with business priorities.
Provide strategic and operative communications support regarding the introduction of new technologies, new orders, project handover to customers and service upgrades in coordination with marketing managers and project managers.
Produce GPG/project level advertising, multimedia, digital tools, videos, presentations, infographics, facts sheets, posters, etc. according to brand guidelines.
Nurture media relations and produce content in the form of editorial, press releases, trade media stories, blogs and social media posts.
Maintain a library of GPG related photos and film shoots, image bank, graphics and project documentation in the Hitachi Energy Library.
Manage GPG external websites (pages, structure, content, layout, etc.) and social media initiatives.
Manage and produce internal communications, including messages, internal webpages, stories, organizational announcements, newsletters, etc.
Provide communications support to Regions within the BU and to the BU Global Communications Manager as required.

Your background
Minimum of five years professional experience with three years relevant experience in internal and/or organizational communications, ideally with an interest in technology and innovation.
Strategic, analytical and creative thinking combined with hands-on approach to translate plans into actions and report on progress.
Cross-functional communications skills (i.e. internal, external, media, digital and marketing communications).
Self-starter with the ability to work independently.
Proactive, results-oriented with strong networking and communications skills.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Business knowledge in power technology is an advantage.
Excellent written and spoken English language skills are required; other languages are a plus.
