Sandvik Mining and Construction is a business area within the Sandvik Group and a world-leading supplier of equipment and complete solutions for the mining and construction industries. We are now looking for a Global Planning Manager for MGT Products. The workplace for this position is flexible, but preferably based near a production unit of MGT Products.
The Global Planning Manager directs all aspects of demand planning, inventory control of finished goods and supply planning for the supply chains of the manufacturing units. The position entails provision of the advance planning and direction necessary to ensure that required inventory is available for immediate delivery to worldwide customers.
Key performance areas
As a Global Planning Manager for MGT Products you will support sales and increase market share through demand, supply and inventory planning practices. Additionally, you will be responsible for identifying substandard inventory control performance in worldwide inventories in close cooperation with the sales organization. Your main responsibilities will also be to:
• Create the global demand plan and assist in creation and management of inventory stock plans, in support of sales, through knowledge of market, product, competition, and logistics capabilities
• Lead the monthly demand and supply balance process to ensure that commitments to customers are fulfilled
• Manage segmentation of inventory and create strategies and tactics for managing each category together with production units and regions
• Ensure that parts support plans are executed in a timely manner and meet availability and fill-rate goals
• Manage and develop direct reports
Your profile
The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in Logistics or in a related field with MBA, is a requirement. A minimum of 3-5 years experience in international business and relevant work experience is preferred. A broad range of knowledge is required in the following disciplines: supply chain, logistics, planning and manufacturing. You have the ability to understand and manage analytical content and work cross-functionally. As the position involves several external contacts, good communication skills in English, both verbal and written, are essential.
