hela Sverige PURPOSE OF ROLE
The Global Marketing Director takes the ownership of the global product category. This includes setting the strategic direction for the category, the overall product portfolio, key product brands and communication together with the communication team. He/she is expected to define a roadmap to ensure growth and profitability long-term.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Functional business responsibility for the respective category
• Constantly monitoring category related financial figures, e.g. sales, margin, price development and initiative actions if needed
• Develop the category strategy including portfolio structure, brand, sales and margin growth targets
• Propose category SOL and Newness targets encompassing the strategic direction
• Deliver an annual category newness plan achieving set KPIs for respective brands, strategic segments as well as overall category KPIs
• Sign off business cases for all new developments proposed by team
• Review and monitor category SOL based on KPIs, sales results and disco plans
• Post-launch reviews with team to understand success and failures of launches
• Ensure team develops strong product stories for all key launches
• Develop and present launch/ strategy presentation to management and sales force
• Constant interaction with the regional marketing and sales team
• Set pricing, margin and discounting strategy that ensures competitiveness and supports margin growth
• Set category innovation strategy together with Innovation team and R&D (where applicable)
• Set annual market research plan together with Consumer Insights
• Set communication objectives for the category and support development of the communication strategy together with communication team
• Manage and develop team of (Junior/Senior) Brand Managers
Profile Description
In order to be successful in this role, the Global Marketing Director must understand the dynamics of direct selling, Oriflame's own direct selling business model, the consultant journey, and product & regional needs. The Global Marketing Director needs to work proactively and closely with the New Product Development Team, Marketing Communications, Creative Services, Consumer Insight, Commercial Planning and Regions. Global Marketing Directors work across functions and therefore need to exercise strong collaborative and team skills to succeed in this position.
A solid business acumen and understanding of the beauty and direct selling industry are crucial. It is also required to have a solid knowledge of the New Product Development Stage & Gate process. To be successful, one should be creative on the one hand side and structured and analytical on the other.
The owner of this role is responsible for defining the optimal team set-up, recruiting the right people, managing and developing the category team members and succession planning.

• Minimum of 10 years working experience in a similar role in an international environment
