hela Sverige Powertrain Engineering is looking for a global component responsible engineer for HDE high pressure fuel system to the Fuel Injection & EATS team in Gothenburg
The Fuel Injection Equipment and EATS (Exhaust After Treatment System) engineering group is a part of the department developing Combustion Systems and is responsible for the development of fuel injection systems both high pressure and low pressure fuel system. The team is also responsible to develop Urea dosing systems for heavy duty diesel engines.
We work in close cooperation with performance and EATS engineers to achieve complete powertrain solutions of world class when it comes to fuel efficiency and legal emission compliance. We cover the full range from advance engineering through project development and product maintenance.
We are in search for a skilled GCR engineer.
As a global component responsible engineer You are the key person in the cross functional global team, consisting of function developers, purchasers, test engineers and suppliers. Your responsibility is to specify, develop, verifiy and validate system as well as components to meet well specifed requirments. Your are partly responsible to secure the competence and skills in your technical field by keeping yourself up to date with the latest progress within the industry and univerities.
In addition to initiate and follow result from tests perfromed, you coordinate the technical aspects in close cooperation with our suppliers and our other development departments.
Main Tasks
• Define technical specifications och set design reqiurments for components and systems, establish verification plans, initiate simulations and testing.
• Evaluate technical solutions and lead development in hosue or at our sub suppliers.
• Ensures protoype part availabilty and that technical documenttion is released in accordance with project time schedules.
• Participate in project coordination meetings and APQP activities
• Follow up and report on the verification activities.
• Define and verify control and diagnostic functions together with function developers
• Follow and act upon field quality situations.
Desired qualifications, experience and qualities
• M.Sc. degree in chemical or mechanical engineering, or equivalent
• You have a good understanding and experince of different mechanical, hydraulical or mechatronical componets or systems.
• Your are flexible and manage several areas both theoretical and in practise. It is seen as a merit if you also have experince in fields as CAD, simulation/calculation, production processes.
• Experience in developing functionality for controls systems of engine and EATS experimental testing is an advantage.
• Ability to work in group as well as with people from other culture
• Fluent in English, both oral and written is mandatory, since the work is performed in global teams.
• Creative personality with ability to generate ideas, propose solutions and to solve problems
• You have a passion for mechanic development in general and recognise yourself as analytical, structured, precise and prestigeless
• Ability to keep good contacts with purchasers and suppliers are require
• Positive mind-set and ability to work in a dynamic organization
