As the demand about food safety and food production lines flexibility and complexity is growing significantly, we are looking to increase our competence to define and describe systems functionality within our Cluster Engineering Office. Consequently, we are looking to recruit an experienced
FUNCTIONAL ENGINEER
The position is based in Lund/NE/Cluster Engineering Office-Functional Engineering E&CA with project work mainly in own country as well as other E&CA countries.
The successful candidate for this position will design customized Technical solution in line with Tetra Pak Strategy, standards, guidelines, tools and methods for functional engineering and design plant functionality in time, with correct quality and at specified cost.
Understanding of customer needs and translating them into business opportunities comes natural to the candidate and commitment and passion for development of both people and business, together with a structured way of working and strive for results, is important to us.
You will work in close collaboration with the process engineering and as well the automation engineering team.
Your responsibilities:
• Describe functionality for technical solutions of liquid food production lines (process functional specifications) while working within a project team
• Structuring of functional descriptions and creation of a collection of templates for different process plant types
• Create process functional diagrams
• Describe detailed functional specifications, e.g. control modules, controllers, step sequencers, ...
• Interaction with project managers, process- and automation engineers
• Participate in FAT's and commissioning of liquid food production lines
• Technical discussions with customer and suppliers for plant areas
• Validate and review functional solutions for plant areas
• Be responsible to gather and validate templates and reusable solutions, maintain template collection
• Act as an ambassador for Tetra Pak
We believe you have:
• Engineering degree, with experience in the food industry from either a process or automation background
• Very good knowledge of Tetra Pak tools Matrix and SkyNet
• Fluent in English, written and verbal is required. Any other European Language is a plus
• Knowledge and understanding of manufacturing of food production lines including production scenarios and production requirements
• Ability to understand principles of food processing plants
• Knowledge of Interface Management comprising the identification, definition and control of interactions across systems.
• Knowledge to verify and validate processes, run comprehensive tests, define requirements and test planning, select test methods and test execution, test documentation
