About the team
Software and smart solutions is a cornerstone of solving the bottlenecks in the power system and Ingrid Capacity's company strategy. Our Ingrid Technology teams builds and maintains software for grid analyses and simulations, power trading and optimization algorithms to maximize efficiency within the grid. We also focus on creating a data-driven culture by building data pipelines and a Business Intelligence layer to provide stakeholders with actionable insights. Our team plays a key role in driving strategic decision-making and overall company success, and we work closely together to ensure a smooth transition of ideas from concept to reality. About the Role
We are on the lookout for a Front-end developer, to work on our products supporting the future power-system. We are working on both toolsuites for grid operators, internal simulation products, and dynamic dashboarding and visuals across the company, you will be at the forefront of crafting intuitive and powerful user interfaces that drive innovation and efficiency for the Ingrid Tech team. This role involves developing robust and engaging front-end solutions, ensuring seamless integration with back-end systems, and collaborating closely with rest of the Ingrid Tech team and other business units to deliver cohesive and user-centric tools. You will have the opportunity to lead impactful design and development projects that align with our mission to shape the energy system of the future. Harness a diverse range of technologies to enhance user experience and optimize workflows across our data solutions, machine-learning capabilities, and software suite.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain responsive, user-friendly front-end interfaces for tools used by grid operators, simulation products, and dynamic dashboards.
Collaborate with UX/UI designers, back-end developers, and other stakeholders to ensure cohesive and effective design implementation.
Optimize front-end performance for speed, scalability, and seamless integration with APIs and data visualization tools.
Implement reusable and modular components to streamline development and maintain consistency across the application suite.
If relevant, contribute to design and user research across both grid operators and other energy system players and internal teams.
Participate in code reviews and contribute to the continuous improvement of development workflows and practices.
Key Qualifications
Experience in visualizing data heavy systems.
Design systems such as Material UI or Bootstrap.
Comfortable in TypeScript and NodeJS; using bundlers such as Vite or Webpack, and server options like Express, NGINX or similar.
Built frontends with React and with good knowledge of state management.
Experience with data visualization libraries and integrating dashboards with real-time data.
Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, WebSockets, and integrating front-end systems with back-end services.
Familiarity with version control systems, such as Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
Knowledge of front-end performance optimization techniques and best practices.
Bonus: Understanding of energy systems, grid operations, or experience working on tools for technical domains.
