At Procurement, you are part of a global team with the mission to develop and maintain a world-class supplier base. Ensuring the supply of materials and services - at the right cost, quality and technology - is essential for the success of Volvo Car Group. Forward Sourcing support the procurement organization through all sourcings of direct material to all Car and Engine Plants.
The team consist of 10 people with various backgrounds and expertise. We are a multi-national team and frequently interact with our counterparts in both China and US and we communicate in English. We are now looking for a Forward Sourcing Buyer to join us!
What you'll do
You will work with creating sourcing documentation for sourcing decisions based on input from the Category Buyer, creating and issuing RFQ to suppliers, consolidating supplier fulfilment regarding sourcing requirements before the final negotiation and sourcing decision, and receiving and following up quotes from suppliers - much of this work will be done in Volvo Cars Global Sourcing Tool.
You will also have ongoing responsibilities of creating business case summaries, supporting the procurement organization with expertise during negotiation phase and preparing documentation for sourcing agreements.
Do you fit the profile?
We believe you have a commercial or technical BSc degree and minimum two years of relevant work experience preferably from purchasing/procurement. You possess negotiation skills and have strong analytical and problem solving skills, and also have the ability to handle many issues/projects in parallel. You are of course fluent in English (written and spoken) with great communication skills in general.
