About this opportunity:
Product Engineering Unit Radio (PEU Radio) is looking for an Expert in Radio Product System Architecture to strengthen the Radio Architecture organization within Radio System and Technology (RST). The responsibility of the Expert's position covers the architecture and functionality between radio fronthaul interface and the antenna air interface, understanding the possibilities with latest technology advancements and how to use these to systemize and realize future Radio architectures. The technology area relates to radio products in all segments. The Expert's responsibility also includes finding the best and competitive balance between key Radio product KPIs and development effort on both Radio and RAN side.
What you will do:
• Lead technical work in Technology Area Systems, to secure a long term strategy for Radio Product architecture and technology development, ensuring alignment with RAN.
• Contribute to the work related to the Radio Development Plan, product/technical roadmaps, taking decisions regarding Radio System Architecture and High-Level Requirements.
• Participation in technology scouting of critical radio HW modules and vendor assessment.
• Study and influence future product architectures.
• Participate in the Radio Technology Strategy work in the Radio Products area.
• Provide input to standardization and product management about how to drive the market for the benefit for Ericsson.
• Represent Ericsson as a technical leader in contacts with customers, competitors, partners, and academia and stay updated on key industry trends and technology development in the domain.
• Foster innovation and file patents in the domain to secure relevant intellectual property for Ericsson.
• Teach, coach, and mentor colleagues on the different aspects of the domain.
The skills you bring:
• 10+ years' experience in Radio System Architecture
• Proven experience as technical leader in the area of radio architecture
• Proven experience in driving technology evolution and strategy for Radio products
• Technical expertise in radio systemization, architecture, and technologies
• Good knowledge of radio functions and ASICs components.
• Knowledge and good understanding of Radio Access Network.
• Track record to find innovative solutions to complex problems.
• Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and mentorship capabilities, with a track record of guiding senior developers and leading architectural decisions in complex, distributed environments.
• Strategic Mindset: Ability to align technical decisions with business goals, identifying opportunities for innovation and differentiation in a highly competitive industry.
