Axis is now looking for an experienced ASIC Verification Engineer to join our Chip Platform IP team within the Research & Development department.  

WHAT WILL YOU DO?
As an experienced ASIC verification engineer you will work with state of the art methodologies and tools to verify digital designs. You will be responsible for the functional verification of one or several blocks or subsystems.

Typical work tasks will include:

• Verification planning
• Definition of functional coverage models
• Development of constrained random testbenches using SystemVerilog and UVM
• Participate in design and code reviews
• Formal verification using SystemVerilog assertions
• Transaction level modelling using SystemC/TLM-2
• Development of in-house tools and improvement of Axis verification flow
• Participate in evaluation of EDA tools

The work includes close cooperation with both ASIC designers and software engineers.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We are looking for an experienced engineer with a genuine interest in ASIC verification and an exceptional talent for programming. Our test benches are often quite elaborate, so it is important that you are excellent at understanding, implementing and maintaining complex software systems.

Desired skills:

• Good understanding of embedded systems and hardware/software interaction
• Excellent troubleshooting and debugging skills
• Deep understanding of object-oriented programming
• Knowledge of SystemVerilog and SystemC
• Experience of coverage driven constrained driven verification

Candidates without prior experience of ASIC verification but with a strong background in related areas such as RTL design or embedded software development will also be considered.

CHIP IP DEVELOPMENT TEAM
As part of Axis' Chip Platforms organization the IP development team is responsible for system design and hardware implementation of algorithms and other technology components provided by technology development organization. For some technology we use 3rd party IPs. The team is also responsible for ASIC design and verification methodology and modeling techniques.

We are at the leading edge of using SystemVerilog, VMM/UVM, HLS, TLM, and has a long history in ASIC and SOC development.
