COMPANY DESCRIPTION
NorrLab works with parametric configuration. We develop rules-based software solutions to draw spaces in 2D and 3D for leading companies within the commercial furniture and material handling industries. In the background, prices and possible configurations are automatically calculated. We are a Swedish company with customers in Europe and North America. NorrLab has its headquarters in Malmö (Sweden). Our unique expertise places us at the forefront of Space Planning and product configuration solutions. We bring a large business value for our customers, but we also thrive on challenging ourselves and grow as programmers and individuals.
WHAT WE OFFER YOU
We're looking for someone who translates ideas into practice and enjoys programming towards the CET platform. NorrLab is full of new ideas and innovation and CM programming has a central role throughout the company. We work in teams where we seek individuals who take personal responsibility to achieve good team spirit and deliver on time.
If you want to work for a company with Swedish roots and genuine care for its employees, this position could be for you. As we are growing with new customers, visits to their locations at least once a year would be necessary. The position is based at our Malmö office, but we are proud of our way to handle remote teamwork and strong work enthusiasm among our talented employees.
As an application developer you will be a part of our production team and work in different customer projects. You will be part of an experienced team and you will have a team leader who you will work closely with initially. In the future, there is room to grow within the company with leadership roles for projects and customer responsibility. Thanks to the unique CET Platform that we work with, overhead time is kept to a minimum. You receive immediate feedback on your changes, i.e., spend less time waiting on compiling code and more time testing your ideas and have fun.
WHO WE BELIEVE YOU ARE
We don't know where the best ideas are born but we believe you have them and at NorrLab, they're always welcome. We believe you are an experienced CM programmer with many years of working in the CET platform and have successfully released a few extensions. You have a burning interest in programming and desire to develop. To be successful as an Application Developer, you should be a communicative and mature person who is driven to deliver with quality. You enjoy working with others, but you also like to put on your headphones and disappear into the code sometimes.
QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCE
Education:
Minimum qualification: Bachelor's Degree in computer science or equivalent
Requirements:
• Passionate about programming
• Good knowledge and minimum 4 years' experience with CM programming language
• Successfully started and delivered al least 2 CET extensions
• Quality minded
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Must be a self-starter and can work independently on diverse problems
• Experience from working in material handling projects
• Basic Swedish language skills and/or the willingness to learn Swedish
• Professional level in written and verbal English communication skill
