SR International is looking for a journalist with experience of writing
and broadcasting news in English, who also has a good knowledge of the
Swedish language and Swedish society to fill short-term temporary
vacancies, such as holiday cover. Knowledge of another of our broadcast
languages is a merit.
SR International is Sveriges Radio's international and multi-cultural
channel. We broadcast news about Sweden in 11 different languages to a
national and international audience via radio and the Internet. The
English service has the main responsibility for news coverage 7 days a
week. The reporter we are looking for should be prepared to come in when
needed, sometimes at short notice, and write news bulletins, produce
radio reports and features for our broadcasts and the internet. You are
a team player, but also able to rely on your own judgement when
necessary. The job can entail both evening and weekend duty.
