HVDC System Design department have responsibility for the system design of HVDC projects
As a line manager for the team of Filter Design at HVDC System Technology you will be part of the entire design process, from technology development of base design, marketing support & tender work to final design and verification in deliveries.
The department of HVDC System Design consists of seven offices where we work closely together to improve our engineering processes and deliveries. You will be manager for a design office and also be member of the management team of HVDC System Design.
To be suitable for this management role it is important that you are interested in people and are prepared to support and enthuse your coworkers. We believe everything can be improved and it is vital that you have a positive mindset to a learning organization continuously improving its knowledge, methods and skills. Sense of urgency, getting things done and taking responsibility for your work, your coworkers and deliver on time are other important qualities we look for.
You should have an engineering degree, a couple of years of work experience and be ready to take the next step in your career. If you have experience from HVDC technology and the design process for HVDC Projects it is a plus. Fluency in English is required, both written and spoken.
You will be part of ABB HVDC within the Power Systems Division in Ludvika. HVDC technology has been on the market for the past 60 years and is used to transmit power through long distances at minimal loss, using overhead lines, lands and sea cable systems.
