We are now looking for an Engineer wiring harness designer Low Voltage within Power & Signal Distribution (PASD)!
Description
The E/E Team, that you will be part of, is incorporated in a bigger unit inside the Technical Development Organization with locations both in Sweden/Trollhättan and in China/Tianjin. You will part of a team of Engineers, with primary responsibility for the wiring harness development within Power & Signal distribution.
An Engineer within PASD harness primarily collaborates internally with other engineers, technical specialists and project management. Externally with suppliers and is involved in all phases of a car project. You will be an important player within the development of existing architecture platform and upcoming platform/projects.
You will be responsible to deliver the WH according to project milestones for existing and future projects. Where you will be defining WH families from first sketch until implementation in production. This role work in close cooperation with cross-functional teams within, mechanical, electrical architecture and external suppliers. Towards these suppliers, you will lead the technical communication through complete product development lifecycle.
The role as Engineer also involves the following tasks:
- Be part of writing technical requirement, develop processes and secure implementation
- Be part verification and validation methodologies and procedures that concern PASD
- Identifying opportunities and implement changes to improve products or processes and reduce cost
- Evaluating the feasibility of new proposals and products
- Establishing and maintaining internal and external networks with PASD expertise
- Providing input to best practice design solutions
- Anchoring the assignment's decisions, development and status with the responsible line management.
We are looking for someone who has:
- Minimum education of a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- Experience from power distribution systems (harness) and connectors in the automotive industry, minimum 2 years
- Fluent in English both spoken and written
- Driver license B.
