The section Vehicle and Systems Testing is a section within the department "A&V Environments & BRAVe". Our main purpose is to operate and develop the departments test beds within; Engine Testing, Powertrain Testing, Climate&Aero Testing, Chassis dyno Testing and Emission Testing. Our responsible is to provide R&D with test beds and test equipment in accordance with R&D needs with agreed solutions for capability and capacity over time.
The group Methodology is responsible to automate test processes within Lab, quality assurance of data, test method development, correlation activities, emission legislative demands and support to engine test bed engineers
As Engine Test Bed Development Engineer, you are responsible for leading the work with automation of tests in our system test beds. As part of our expanding team you will be working in a creative environment shaping tomorrow's engines and test methods. Your challenge is to develop, program and implement automated test processes in system test beds. You will work in cross functional teams with other groups within the Laboratory and with our internal customers at R&D. Your technical competence, as well as your ability to manage projects, should be strong so that you can make your own decisions and technical conclusions. Your mindset should be analytic and with an aim of finding solutions.
Main responsibilities
• Responsible for implementing automated test processes in system test beds
• Plan and manage automation activities through a cross functional team
• Develop automation processes and activities within the system testing area
• Document automated test processes and involve necessary stakeholders to gather required inputs
• Participate in development of testing methods
• Support own organization and its most important parameters for automation regarding programming
Required qualifications
• M. Sc. within the areas of Mechanical engineering or equivalent
• Extensive experience in engine testing and/or engine development
• Good knowledge in LabView programming
• Good knowledge in VBA and Tcl scripting
• General knowledge in programming languages such as C+, Matlab, etc
• Knowledge in test bed systems supplied by Horiba, AVL, Comtest and Kratzer is meritorious
• Good experience from setting up test sequences and analysis of test results
• Knowledge in engine calibration methods
• Fluent in Swedish and English, spoken and written

• High ability to plan and take own initiatives
• Curious with a very good analytical ability
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Self driven and high sense of responsibility to deliver results on time
• Team player
