hela Sverige The EMC engineer's main responsibilities will be to discuss and agree EMC requirements and EMC test plans and to review EMC test results. In case of deviations then a corrective action plan needs to be developed and the EMC engineer is crucial in this.
From time to time there is also a need to execute complete vehicle EMC tests. The EMC engineer might be required to lead or participate in these tests.
The end goal is to end up with components that meets the EMC requirements and that the full platform has a good EMC performance.
The role is in an existing EMC team with several skilled and experienced EMC engineers.
The responsibilities of the EMC Engineer include, but is not limited to:
• Work with component owner and the component suppliers:
o Determine specific EMC requirements for the components
o Review and approve EMC test plans, including approval of laboratories to use, support and monitoring of the device/system under test.
o Review EMC test results and secure that corrective actions are taken as needed
• Plan, prepare, execute and report complete vehicle EMC tests
• B.Sc. or M.Sc. Eng. or similar
• Experience of automotive development
• Application of technologies in products/projects in the EMC area
• Ability to work in cross functional teams and to contribute to the team's success
• Ability to motivate and convince component owners
• Persistency to pursue targets and take decisions
• Efficient and excellent planning skills and able to work in a structured way
• Quick and efficient in problem resolving
• Good presentation and communication skills
• Fluent in English, spoken and written
• Skilled user in Microsoft Office
• Ability and interest to share your knowledge with other members of the team
• Cultural awareness, especially Asian - European culture
• Able to handle a quick pace of changes
