You will be Responsible for directing the financial affairs and accounting function of a large site with staff, at management level, involved in the preparation and presentation of financial and cost management reports/accounts. As a member of the site senior management team co responsible for the strategic development and competitiveness of the site.
Group Finance/Accounting Policies:
Represents the site, from a finance and cost management point of view, in the
development of group policies, reporting standards, strategies and goals.
Site Strategic Management:
• Participates in the full strategic management of the site through the provision of cost and financial information.
• Keeps corporate and local senior management appraised of site operating results in terms of performance against budget, and other matters bearing on the fiscal soundness and operating effectiveness of the company. In addition reports on the impact on changes in cost structures, sales volume, price, margins and all other variables that affect profitability.
• In collaboration with local senior management establishes financial and cost
management objectives for the site.
You are also in charge of Functional Responsibility and System Development & Integration.
The Swedish branch is situated in Robertsfors, Västerbotten.
Candidate profile
The person:
• An ability to work constructively with staff at all levels, across organizational and cultural boundaries, is required
• Strong interpersonal, leadership, business, analytical, organisational, communication, problem-solving, project management and change management skills.
• Systematic and demonstrating a high degree of planning and coordination ability.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Good level of English (technical and general).
Education/experience required
Primary Degree in an appropriate commercial or business field plus professional qualification such as CIMA/ACA. Should have 5 or more years senior financial or cost management experience in a multi product / high volume / low cost / multi national manufacturing environment similar to that of the Company.
This should be complemented with tactical and strategic planning knowledge and experience. Must be experienced in working with non-financial managers.
Skill in examining and re-engineering operations and procedures, formulating policy, and developing and implementing new strategies is a further key requirement of the job.
