Trimble Danderyd develops and manufactures optical measurement instruments, total stations and scanning total stations, for the surveying and construction markets. Our products are market leading and have a reputation of quality, productivity and reliability.
Trimble R&D in Danderyd contains a broad range of core disciplines; SW, electronics, mechanics and optics. Today our R&D department consists of approximately 90 engineers, all highly qualified within their fields.
About this opportunity
The Electronics & Regulatory Compliance group consists of 16 engineers responsible for instrument hardware and product compliance.
As an Electronics Developer at Trimble you will have the opportunity to work in cross functional teams with developers of all disciplines. To succeed in this role, you should have a genuine technical interest and like to work in teams.
Main responsibilities
Design, develop and verify embedded electronics for our optical total stations
Work together with Mechanics, Optics and SW developers in cross functional projects and pre-studies.
General and genuine interest in technology and excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Contribute to technology roadmap decisions
Help and mentor young engineers to develop their skills
Requirements
Applicable Masters degree.
5+ years of experience in the field of electronics design.
Experience in embedded systems and sensor implementation.
Experience with the IEEE 802.11 Wi-Fi standard.
Practical experience in verifying and troubleshooting electronics.
Experience with Altium and Spice.
Experience with Agile and IHS.
Strong analytical and data analysis skills.
We also appreciate
Experience with signal integrity/power integrity/high-frequency design.
Experience in fast signals, sensor implementation and lasers are a merit.
Experience in high-speed circuit simulation, design, and test.
Experience with lasers, photodiodes, trans-impedance amplifiers, signal conditioning, op-amps, ADCs, and DACs are a merit.
You express yourself well in Swedish and English, both written and spoken.
