hela Sverige Advanced Development Air Care is looking for an experienced Firmware design engineer who will be responsible to develop new products/modules/systems by generation, evaluation, analysis and development of design concepts. Chosen candidate will work in an international and multicultural environment in a cross-functional team and have the opportunity to grow in this environment. She/He will be responsible for the complete chain of the development process from idea generation to solution validation and launching the electronic subsystem in mass production.
Key operational responsibilities
• Firmware design and implementation.
• Hardware design and implementation.
• Create and validate new electronic/electrical components / system taking care of its design and development (technical specification, functionality, reliability, manufacturing, safety, etc).
• Drive the execution of electronics/electrical development project/activities
• ? Definition and execution of test procedures and GUI?s for debugging, verification and functionality.
• Provide technical specifications and drawings of related components and subsystems to get required approval and EMC standards;
• Participate in system and subsystem reviews.
• Participate in supplier evaluation and selection.
• Observe electronic market, new technologies and components secure HW - SW interaction.
Competencies needed
• A graduate degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or equivalent. ? +5 years of experience in developing Inverter Control / Thermal Cycle algorithm for Air Conditioner Business. ? Strong experience in: -Developing embedded software in C/C++ . Should be able to demonstrate the C/C++ programming skills with strong algorithm development; -GUI design experience is essential for debugging and verifying algorithms. GUI software should log data and have full functionality to control the developed embedded system. MS .net Framework experience is a plus; -In-depth knowledge of microcontrollers, DSP's and development platforms. Should be able to design develop, implement peripheral hardware and relevant firmware for Communication protocols like RS232; USB, TCP/IP and for controlling electromechanical components ,sensors, displays etc.; -Hardware design experience. Should be able to design schematics, conduct simulations and guide PCB layout to ensure EMC validations and required approvals; -Manufacturing Process Experience. Should be familiar with assembly and quality processes; for electronic components and electronic boards in order to guide and approve suppliers. ? Good Knowledge of: -Power Electronics. Should know Power Factor Correction , Motor Drive Algorithms, Electronic Power Components selection and reliability criteria?s; -Electromechanical, Electronic and Power Electronics Components/products selection; test and validation criteria?s; -Embedded OS Systems such as Linux; -MathLab. ? Knowledge of international safety standards for household appliances is welcome. ? Proactive and Open-minded approach. ? Team work oriented, able and willing to work in a complex, international matrix organization. ? Willing to take initiative and be proactive in a open minded environment. ? Good communication skills, creativity and project management skills complete the profile.
• Fluent knowledge of English (written and spoken).
