Do you want to join us in this journey? Together we will make Volvo Group the most desired and successful transport solution provider in the world!
Volvo Group is world leader in Electromobility. In summer 2016 we established a truly customer oriented team, working closely together to drive the development of new technology, new business models and new ways of working. The new Electromobility team is responsible to run the complete Electromobility sourcing and development work including demonstrator vehicles for several of the business areas within Volvo Group. Examples are Hybrid, Electric Hybrid and full Electric Bus, Hybrid Trucks and full Electric Trucks, Hybrid and full Electric Construction Equipment and Industrial & Marine applications.
About the role
There is now an opportunity for you to join the Electromobility unit and contribute in the development of our new products. As an Electromobility Product Builds Project Leader, you plan and actively lead the cross-functional work within projects in order to ensure that the physical test objects needed for the verification and validation in the Product Development Projects in Electromobility are delivered in time and with the right quality. The test objects are assembled either in the production plant or in the internal workshops.
You will work closely with project managers, product owners, prototype purchasing teams, assembly functions as well as the development and verification teams. You lead and coordinate all meetings concerning the prototype builds addressing topics such as specifications, variants and bill of materials, ordering of vehicles, production-, prototype parts and software for our physical builds together with representatives from different functions within Product Development, Purchasing and Manufacturing.
What can we offer you?
We can offer you an exciting and global working environment which will give you valuable experience that will contribute to your future development within the Volvo Group. In this role, you will be supporting and driving the entire physical test object build chain from early technology/concept development to final verification in vehicle. Last but not least, you will get the opportunity to interact with highly committed colleagues from different cultures and to influence the development of our future electrified products.
At Volvo Group Trucks Technology we are actively working to establish groupings that will take maximum advantage of the strength inherent in differences in knowledge, experience, age, gender, nationality, etc. Customer success, trust, passion, change and performance are the values that guide us.
