Asset Optimisation and Trading (AOT) is the Business Division where all Asset Optimisation and Trading activities are centralised for the Vattenfall Group. Our activities are multi-site located across Europe with more than 600 professionals working from Sweden, Germany, The Netherlands, Denmark and Poland. We trade the full range of energy commodities such as electricity, gas, oil, coal, freight, renewable energies and emissions, take responsibility for a diversified sourcing of power, fuels and carbon credits and optimise the running and hedging of Vattenfall's generation assets. These efforts are the basis for maximum profitability and continuous business growth.
Within AOT, the business unit Asset Optimisation Nordic (AON) is responsible for bidding, planning, dispatching, as well as developing and implementing the hedging strategy for Vattenfall's production assets in the Nordic area. By our efforts, we optimise the portfolio value and ensure that all asset risks are managed efficiently.

Dispatching operator
In the dispatch centre, all intraweek activities are located, such as bidding, planning, dispatching and forecasting. The responsibility of supporting the dispatch center with, staff, knowledge, experience, tools, equipment, etc, is divided between three departments within AON. The dispatch department is mainly focusing on the short term horizon and all connected activities.
We offer
We offer stimulating tasks in a unit responsible for bidding, planning and dispatching, with a strong focus on how to maximise the value of Vattenfalls production portfolio. You will mainly be working in our newly built, centrally located, dispatch centre. In your work you will constantly meet complex problems and there is a need to be familiar with numbers, statistics and figures.
All personnel in the dispatch centre are working shifts, so with this position you will work about 70% shifts, including nights weekends and holidays.
Besides this operational work you will be given the opportunity to take part in various educations and in the longer perspective take part in the continuous development of Asset Optimisations Nordic.
Qualifications Required education is a B.Sc. or M.Sc in engineering ' Experience from the Energy Sector or process industry (är meriterande) Experience from shift work and willingness to work so onwards. Ability to work simultaneously with a number of tasks Willingness to acquire knowledge about and take part in Vattenfalls production portfolio Ability to work independently and in a structured way
