The Director, Analytics, is considered a business manager and thought leader. S/he engages the client team to share vision, serves as expert on industry and client-specific strategic issues, and understands how R/GA can solve client's business problems. S/he is a trusted advisor to senior level clients, and leads and executes multi-dimensional marketing programs with analysis plans across all dimensions: research, strategy, media for multiple clients. The Director is directly accountable for the development of staff on multiple client teams and for expanding the intellectual capital of the analytics practice.
Key Responsibilities:
Thought Leadership
• Drives innovative and strategic insights. Drives themes across client-teams and consistently seeks out new opportunities to apply learnings.
• Functions as the "go to? expert for 1 to 2 generalist offerings, such as online advertising, social media analysis, or mobile application analysis; designs and/or enhances these offerings; codifies Analytics findings into leveragable intellectual capital (e.g., case studies, products or offerings) for use across the agency.
Marketing Analytics Management
• Translates multiple data types (e.g., research, customer behavior, campaign results, , etc.) into insights and marketing recommendations. Consistently adds strategic insights and is accountable for driving clients? results.
• Leads multi-dimensional marketing programs with analysis plans across research, buzz, engagement, behavioral, and attitudinal dimensions.
• Leads all execution aspects of complex measurement and modeling programs, including the involvement of coordinating and managing staff beyond measurement within the agency and at the client.
• Is responsible for scoping budgets, structuring work and securing appropriate resources to deliver assignment with excellence.
• Actively manages direct reports, providing just in time coaching to drive behavioral changes; models appropriate behavior for direct reports and team. Is accountable to team retention and career path development.
Client Management
• Runs multiple client businesses. Takes ownership of client level analytics scopes and engagements. Successfully delivers programs/projects managing analytics? delivery teams.
• Is a visible presence to senior internal and external clients and is a trusted advisor to internal and external client management. Develops strategic analytic agenda for client relationships.
• Actively sells in new ideas to clients. Meets revenue growth goals and enhances R/GA revenue.
Pre-Requisites:
• Strong analytical skills, must be proficient in analyzing and interpreting data from standard platforms such as Omniture, Coremetrics, Radian 6, Dart, Atlas, and client databases.
• Solid understanding of the fundamentals of web site design, social media, online advertising, and mobile applications.
• Strong presentation and interpersonal skills. New business or business development experience a plus.
Qualifications:
• 10+ years of experience in related role.
• Significant experience managing analytics staff.
• Experience providing broad advanced statistical solutions to clients.
• Creative or media agency background in multichannel performance. Direct marketing experience preferred.
• Bachelors degree preferably in social sciences, economics, mathematics, statistics, business or marketing
• MBA preferred
