hela Sverige Nasdaq is now looking for a Director - Accounting based in Stockholm. Your role would be to manage a dynamic team of 5 financial controllers and to ensure compliance and local statutory reporting of the regulated legal entities for both Sweden and Norway.

Responsibilies:
• Manage, guide and mentor the financial control team
• Management and Coordination of the monthly close
• Management of the Audit Process in relation to the Swedish and Norwegian entities
• Perform analytics on Balance sheet and Income statement accounts on a monthly and annual basis
• Preparation and review of Balance sheet reconciliations
• Preparation and approval of various journals
• On an ad-hoc basis support the Global Controller organization on Accounting Policy across the Nasdaq group such as implementation of new policy and - business support.
Provide Accounting Policy support to Business Units
Work closely with various teams across the business to ensure accurate reporting and process improvements
Be involved and support M&A activities as applicable
Education, Professional accomplishments, and Certifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• Chartered Account ACA, CIMA or equivalent is preferred
Skills, Requirements and Competencies:
• A combination of big four public accounting experience and experience from a finance/accounting operations corporate environment (7-10+ years) is expected
• Excellent understanding of US and/or IFRS GAAP and with a passion for accounting
• Likes to work in a team environment where collaboration and building strong relationships are essential.
• Requires excellent oral and written communication skills along with strong organizational and multitasking skills applied in a fast paced global working environment
• Demonstrated high level knowledge of financial reporting processes/systems and internal financial controls.
• Experience with PeopleSoft, Oracle Financials or similar ERP applications preferred
• Fluent in Swedish and English

This is a permanent full time position located in Stockholm. Desired start date is as soon as possible.
