The Right Livelihood Award Foundation is hiring a Digital Communications Manager to develop and execute a new strategy for digital channels. In this role, you will spread awareness online about the 170 Laureates from 69 countries who have received the Right Livelihood Award, widely known as the 'Alternative Nobel Prize', to date. Your main task is to make their courage contagious and to inspire change.

Established in 1980, the Right Livelihood Award Foundation honours and supports courageous people and organisations offering visionary and exemplary solutions to the root causes of global problems. Our vision is a just, peaceful and sustainable world for all.
The Foundation provides Laureates with long-term support and helps protect those whose lives and liberty are at risk due to the nature of their activities. The Foundation is a charity registered in Sweden with eight employees and offices in Stockholm and Geneva.
ABOUT THE POSITION
As our Digital Communications Manager you will be part of a highly dedicated and international team where you will play a key role developing the online communications of the Right Livelihood Award Foundation. You bring professional experience from working with digital communications and will work strategically to engage new target groups online strengthening our brand and mission through our digital channels. You create content with a positive and inspiring tonality relating to our Laureates and their ground-breaking work. You lead projects related to digital communications, such as the production of short videos. The Digital Communications Manager will report to and work closely together with our Director of Communications, and will further support the team with proof reading, editing and media liaison.
MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop a new digital communications strategy for the Right Livelihood Award Foundation.
Develop clear guidelines and checklists for communication in digital channels.
Produce content for all digital channels, including social media (currently Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Youtube/Vimeo and LinkedIn), website and newsletter.
Lead projects and partnerships with external actors, such as the production of short videos.
Assist the Director of Communications in a variety of tasks related to communications and media relations at the Right Livelihood Award Foundation, including English proofreading.
MINIMUM SKILLS
Professional experience (from an NGO, company or similar organisation) of working strategically with digital communications, including social media.
Professional experience (from an NGO, company or similar organisation) of producing and publishing content for digital communications channels.
Full professional proficiency in English (including writing and editing texts in English).
Professional experience of leading or managing projects within an organisation.
DESIRED SKILLS
Professional proficiency in any of the following languages: Swedish, French, Arabic, Spanish or German.
Experience in working with graphic design.
Experience of video production.
Experience in working with SEO.
Experience of online advocacy campaigning.
Experience of media liaison work.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
The Digital Communications Manager is a permanent full-time position, with an initial six months probationary period. The position is based at our head office in Stockholm, and requires occasional travel.
Starting date: 15 August 2018 or earlier.
