The Team
We at Electromobility are taking the heritage of an excellent conventional vehicles and turn that into environmentally friendly and sustainable top-notch electrical vehicle. Our responsibility is to create an automatic on-board diagnostics system that can detect and pinpoint malfunctions in the electric propulsion system.
We are approximately 15 highly skilled professionals from a wide variety of backgrounds, who share a passion for technology and developing products that make a difference for the Volvo Group's customers and our society.
The Position
The most common tasks for us are systems design, embedded software development and testing our solutions. Here you will find an exciting mix of contacts with both internal and external stakeholders, writing code, finding solutions to problems and testing your solutions in our rigs and vehicles.
Working here in the electromobility department combines the benefits of a large international company with the feeling of working at a small company.

Developing embedded software with Targetlink
Writing code in python & C
Software testing & simulation
Collaboration with internal & external stakeholders

Your profile
This role suits a person with good collaboration & communication skills and with a big interest in technology and problem solving. You find it exciting to work with end-to-end development and finding solutions to problems in a highly complex product.
Furthermore, we want you to have:
MSc in Engineering, Electro, Physics, Automation, Mechanical or equivalent
Planning to graduate in the summer of 2024
Programming experience
Experience with Matlab/Simulink
Understanding of electrical engineering
Understanding of Signal processing/control system development

Bonus if you also have an understanding of:
C programming
Power Electronics
High voltage Electronics

The Talent Program
This position is a part of Hubbau's talent program and is a collaboration between Hubbau and Volvo GTT. During the 12 months of the talent program, you will be employed by Hubbau and work as a consultant in your specific role at Volvo GTT. The ambition is for your employment to smoothly transition to a permanent position at Volvo GTT thereafter. The goal is to provide you with an even more rewarding first year that sets you up for success at Volvo GTT and in your future career. The talent program offers training sessions from specialists within Vinngroup to build up your knowledge base.
Start date
The program commences on September 3rd, 2024.
Other information
The position is a full-time employment located at Volvo GTTs office at Lundby Gothenburg. We practice ongoing selection, so do not hesitate to express your interest.
