The department Connected and Autonomous is responsible for piloting, developing and testing future Autonomous Transport Solutions (ATS). This work is done using agile and self-steered teams with the ambition to evaluate upcoming technologies, and developing these for serial production.
One of the key responsibilities for the department, is the strategic and operational responsibility for developing the next generation of vehicle architecture related to the ATS environment. This includes design and test of the complete vehicle platform, enabling state-of-the-art development-, simulation- and logging environment. Our purpose is to have the best suitable computational environment, allowing fast software- and hardware interactions for our ATS development teams.

Your work duties
This position is located in Södertälje and you will be a part of an agile development team. As Development Engineer, your responsibility will vary depending on the current development needs. It will include software development, evaluation and testing of new hardware on prototype vehicles, integrating development tools to the existing development environment, basic design of electrical installation, coordination of internal/external development teams and evaluation of new potential technologies.
Your profile
You have good knowledge in written and spoken English. Diversity is the normal situation in our development teams, hence, international experience and cultural awareness will definitely be to your advantage. You will have extensive contacts internally and externally, it is therefore crucial that you have a positive mindset, and are a terrific teammate. You have an academic engineering degree (B.Sc., M.Sc. and/or PhD) and experience from high-tech development projects.
In addition, the position requires experience in software development (e.g. C++, and GPGPU is an advantage), build environments, logging, platform architecture and working with Linux systems (and/or QNX). Driving license for truck and/or bus is a plus, and it is an advantage if you enjoy hands-on installations.
