Role Summary
This role is a part of TRATON Group R&D, located in Södertälje, Sweden
Are you passionate about hardware development within E/E systems and advanced driver assistance technologies? Do you want to contribute to the development of next-generation ADAS sensors, ECUs and antenna solutions for heavy vehicles? If so, this is the opportunity for you.
We are strengthening our team within TGREEP1 and are now looking for an E/E Hardware Developer to drive innovation and technical excellence in ADAS sensor development.
As an E/E Hardware Developer, you will be part of a skilled and cross-functional team responsible for the development of ADAS sensors and related E/E hardware. You will work according to the ONEPDP process, ensuring that our products meet TRATON's high standards for quality, performance, safety and robustness.
You will collaborate closely with TRATON brands and sites, as well as internal and external stakeholders, to secure alignment, technical integration and timely deliveries throughout the product lifecycle - from early concept phase to industrialization and production support.
This position is within TGREEP1 - ECUs, ADAS Sensors and Antennas, contributing to future-proof solutions enabling autonomous and assisted driving functions.
Job Responsibilities
• Develop ADAS sensors and associated E/E hardware solutions in accordance with the ONEPDP process.
• Define hardware requirements, specifications and verification plans.
• Secure robust hardware design with focus on quality, EMC, functional safety and environmental durability.
• Collaborate with TRATON sites and brands to ensure platform alignment and synergies.
• Work closely with internal stakeholders such as:
System and function development teams
Software development
Mechanical design
Testing & validation
Purchasing
Production & industrialization
Quality and Supplier Quality
• Interface with external stakeholders including suppliers, development partners and test institutes.
• Support verification and validation activities, including lab testing, vehicle testing and troubleshooting.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of development processes, methods and technical standards.
• Actively participate in planning and daily team activities in a value-flow oriented and cross-functional setup.
Who You are
You hold a B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering or a related field.
• You have experience or strong interest in E/E hardware development, preferably within automotive applications such as ECUs, sensors or antenna systems. Experience with ADAS technologies, EMC, functional safety (ISO 26262), or environmental testing is considered a merit.
• You are structured and analytical, with the ability to manage technical complexity and multiple interfaces simultaneously. You enjoy collaborating in an international environment and feel comfortable interacting with both technical experts and business-oriented stakeholders.
• You are proactive, solution-oriented and take ownership of your deliveries while contributing positively to team performance.
• A passenger car driver's license is required.
