We are now looking for a Development Engineer Kromasil Product and application development based in Gothenburg. In this role you will contribute to global business growth opportunities within Colloidal silica and thereby ensuring continuous world leading position of Nouryon.
Main responsibilities
Your responsibilities are to secure a safe and standardized work in line with the HSE guidence and scope for the department and its functional standard. Also to develop, prepare, execute and analyze research elements (e.g. problems, questions, ideas) in own discipline and develop new and improve existing research methodology, in line with the Kromasil strategy, contributing to development of new products.
As a support or a part of a project team contribute to the realization of objectives of R&D projects.
Support the Kromasil Marketing & Sales and Operations/Technology organization with trouble-shooting and knowledge within own competence area
Develop own skills in line with R&D target and HSE guidance
Lead assignments or participate in assignments/projects and ensure execution and delivery of technical results
Formulate and present solution directions and issue advice at request or at own initiative
Conduct a significant level of labwork such as synthesis, HPLC- nalysis and other technical work in the lab and pilot as defined in the assignment and/or project plan and deliver results on time
Qualifications
This role requires that you are result oriented and have the ability to cooperate and communicate with different stakeholders. You also need to have good computer knowledge e.g. Excel.
Master's Degree in chemistry / chemical technology or Bachelor's Degree in chemistry /chemical technology
3-5 years of relevant experience
Competence in chromatography
Experience from laborative work
Good communication in English, both verbally and in writing
Good communication skills in Swedish, since almost all verbal communication is in Swedish

This is a permanent position on a full-time basis, reporting to the Kromasil Product and Application Development Manager, and based in Bohus.
