Xylem is now looking for a Development Engineer with focus on developing new drives for a wide range of products. Developing new drives where Xylem owns part or even the complete design will be important for the future.
The Role
In this role you will get an important position in the product development acting as the main specialist responsible for developing new drives. It will involve development of hardware and software but also an important role in deciding the strategy for the future development.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Fundamental hardware design
Motor control algorithms
Logistics and sourcing of components
Assembly
Test planning
Production test
Application software development
Component ownership
You will be part of Xylems Electrical Engineering R&D unit in Sundbyberg and also work closely together with other development units within for example hydraulics, mechanics but also manufacturing and purchasing to mention some.
Experience, education and personality
We think you have a MSc or PhD in the field of drives and in-depth experience from designing and developing drives, hardware electronics and some software.
In this recruitment your personal qualities will be of great importance. To be successful you need be able to work independently, plan and drive the development and also deliver according to expectation, on time with a high quality. You have strong analytical skills and you are a true team member who sees the value of working close with and helping your colleges.
Excellent skills in English, both oral and written are essential to perform this work as a part of a global organization. Communication skills in Swedish is a plus.
