The RAN Compute HW unit responsible for design and maintenance of Baseband and Street Macro products in Ericsson Radio Base Station Portfolio. We support existing and coming generation of digital platforms enabling high capacity and performance to our end customers. Our design is based on the latest silicon technology with multi-layer PCBs and high-speed series links. To be driven, we want to be at the forefront of technological development by optimizing our products according to; performance, low maintenance costs and fault-free systems. We are looking for a designer with keen interest to develop and seek new challenges.

What you will do
Understand system level requirement and use cases. Interpret, break down and process them
HW Digital design and implementation including reviews. Knowledge of radio design is a merit
Knowledge of design integration & verification
We are working with cost optimization, so sense of TK optimized design is important
Deliver design with high quality within agreed time frame and TK target
Be author of required design and verification documents
Understand Board Bring Up and functional integration, and cooperate with people from other functional teams; (SW, FPGA, ASIC, PTD, etc) to complete these tasks
Support customer and production sites in case of low yield issues
Core Competences
Experience with Cadence Concept tool
Extensive experience in use of lab equipment such as: scopes, logic- and spectrum analyzers, pattern generator, etc.
Experience with high speed series measurement and simulation
Understand characteristics, such as signal integrity, EMC, thermal aspects, reliability, testability & producibility, pinning and layout
Knowledge of test automation with scripting language, such as Python, TCL etc.
RF technology and related circuitry (in the case of RF design on the PBA) is a merit
To be successful in the role you have
M.Sc. or B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
Minimum five years of industrial experience within HW Design
Overall understanding of Digital HW based on; ASICs, FPGAs, NPs, PCBs, high speed series links, the newest technology of memories and timing solutions
The knowledge to identify and break down key requirements and implement them
The ability to take full design- and verification responsibility is a plus
