Epiroc IT are currently seeking a driven individual with a can-do attitude to be part of our future Epiroc IT organization. You will be responsible for the End user computing services including Desktop management platform, VDI/server based application clients, Business Device (PC/Tablets), Mobile Device Management, Print.
Job description
As Desktop Manager IT you will work both strategic and operative. You will be responsible to establish and operate the future operations organization. Deliver world class services to the business that are geographically spread equally around the globe. Short term mission is to work closely with Atlas Copco IT-Services during transition, where IT-Services still deliver operations and where you will be responsible to build the future target organization when TSA schedule ends. You will report to Global Infrastructure Manager, Epiroc IT.
Mission
- Establish positive and supporting attitude within the Service Area
- Identify desktop requirements from Business
- Related Service Catalogue management
- Optimize or change existing solution(s) in line with Epiroc IT strategy and security policy
- Implement and operate: - Global virtual team
- Support organization, processes, routines, tools and agreements to ensure operations in all regions -One way of working.
- Team prepared to take global action on short notice.
- Cost management
- Device Management strategy and maintenance
- Tools and processes to manage operations including data shall be common and owned by Epiroc IT
- Take active part in Change project(s).
- Limit number of manual processes and routines in favor of automatization or self-service
- Keep it simple attitude (all aspects, like HW, platform and support processes)
- Ensure global adoption of routines and guidelines
- Always have data security in mind
- Work close with other Service Area owners to optimize IT services efficiency and end-user experience
- Safeguard delivery during Atlas Copco split with TSA schedule
Experience requirements
- Management of virtual teams
- Staff liability
- Managing large change projects
- Minimum 10 year working experience providing SLA based services
- Minimum 5 year experience from maintenance of desktop automization
- Minimum 5 year experience from desktop management (scripting, software packaging, VDI etc.)
- Excellent understanding of IT technical components and processes
- Working with a multinational organization
- Business processes understanding
- Well organized and able to operate independently in line with guidelines
Knowledge / Educational requirements
Must
- Experience from desktop management operations and design
- University degree in relevant fields or similar competence developed through working experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Passionate about your field of expertise and your customers
- Highly motivated and result oriented

Personality
The job requires a lot of collaboration both internally and externally so good interpersonal and communication skills are a prerequisite to be successful in the role.
A proactive personality is desired, with a capacity to deliver in line with expectations and objectives as the work is conducted with full responsibility and flexibility within given frames.
We also expect you to be well structured, service minded and adaptable to change. You should also have good strong leadership, analytical and administrations skills as they are vital for this role.
You must be able to travel international minimum 20 days/year.

Sweden, Örebro or Stockholm
If not based in Örebro, travel to Örebro 1-2 days per week will be needed.
Company presentation
Atlas Copco's Board of Directors announced in January 2017 that it will initiate work in order to propose to the Annual General Meeting in 2018, to decide on a split of Atlas Copco into two parts. Atlas Copco will focus on industry and Epiroc will focus on mining, infrastructure and natural resources industries.
The current Mining and Rock Excavation business area - core of the future Epiroc - provides equipment for drilling and rock excavation, a complete range of related consumables and service through a global network. The business area innovates for sustainable productivity in surface and underground mining, infrastructure, civil works, well drilling and geotechnical applications. Principal product development and manufacturing units are located in Sweden, the United States, Canada, China and India.
