Volvo Group Product Design is an expanding team of diverse roles and professions, with local and global responsibilities. We are translating business requirements, modern technology, and user needs into meaningful and aesthetic customer solutions for all our brands and business areas, in our three studios in Greensboro, Lyon and Gothenburg.
To our management team, we are now looking for a dynamic and insightful Director of Global and Strategic Studies. The Director manages the global portfolio of future studies, advanced design studies, pre studies and strategic projects developed across brands or business areas in close collaboration with their respective Directors.
The Director is engaged in internal as well as external activities as our expert on future trends, innovation and Design Thinking. An important part of the role is to build the necessary internal and external networks, set up the right internal structures, cross functional interfaces, planning and collaborations for a successful outcome and tangible results.
This requires a person with a passion for innovation, and a great capability to involve others - to engage, motivate and direct with clear vision and purpose. We offer an exciting, truly global context with challenging tasks, where you can make a difference.

Requirements
• Minimum 8 years of work experience. Team leader or supervisory experience is a merit
• Minimum Bachelor of Fine Arts, or equivalent/ relevant degree
• Track record of product innovation, research or other future oriented context
• Experience from working with participatory industrial design and digital user experience design process
• Service Design and automotive experience is a merit
• Experience from a multi brand context is a merit
