If your answer is YES to the above questions, you are at the right place! We are looking for a Design Responsible - Engine Hardware for internal combustion engines, to be part of the Volvo Engine team, a department within Sustainable Power Systems organization, belonging to Volvo CE in Eskilstuna.
We, at Volvo Engines, are a group of fantastic and dedicated engineers working with tomorrow's cleaner and more powerful internal combustion engines for Volvo Construction Equipment.
Volvo Engines is responsible for the development of internal combustion engines for our construction equipment machinery. We work with the complete development cycle from design and implementation to testing in machines. Our journey towards a more sustainable future will, besides tougher emission requirements, also focus on alternative and non-fossil fuels.
What we offer
In the Design Responsible role for engine hardware, you will play an important part in the development of our engines. You will be involved from the very beginning and throughout the entire project. In the role you will among others;
Be responsible for the base engine HW specification, both in project and maintenance phase.
Secure that the base engine system/components meet Volvo CE requirements.
Coordinate base engine HW development internally Volvo CE and towards other engine development entities within the Volvo Group, e.g. GTT & Volvo Penta.
Our engines are used in construction equipment machines such as wheel loaders, excavators, and articulated haulers. The work is based on close cooperation between the engine projects and the complete machine projects in cross functional teams.
The job requires a broad approach with a good general understanding of combustion engines and their usage in construction equipment applications.

Who are you?
A curios and enthusiastic engineer with a relevant university degree who have a passion for Internal Combustion Engines.
You have a long experience from working in different design systems like CAD, PDM, etc. You are a true team player who also can work individually and represent the team.
Educational background within Mechanical Engineering, Internal Combustion Engineering, Vehicle engineering, Mechatronics, or other education relevant for this position
You are also structured and analytical, and you enjoy being on top of things. We hope that you are driven by the desire to create a sustainable future together with us!
