As a design engineer of the Cooling System you have a very important and central role in the development of future Scania trucks in terms of performance, range and quality. In future vehicles the challenge will be to find solutions for minimizing energy losses and using available energy, and at the same time making sure all components are kept at the ideal temperature ensuring optimal performance and durability with low cost, weight and noise.
We are two design groups working closely together consisting of about 35 design engineers, 3 project managers and 2 group managers. We are placed in an organization fully prepared for the upcoming challenges in developing electrified trucks, with support functions as performance testing, CAE-engineers, prototyping and mechanics close to our hands.
With all our exciting work ahead we are now looking for a design engineer that wants to join us and make a difference in creating the world's best cooling system in the number one premium truck.
Your assignment
You will be part of a fast-paced dynamic workplace with wide-ranging challenging work assignments with an agile approach. You will at first be responsible for some of the parts in one of our many different systems where you will work with 3D-modelling in Catia V5, taking your parts from idea to final drawings.
Once you gain experienced you will be able to take on the responsibility for a complete system and work more with concept development, layout-studies, cross functional problem solving and performance developing. We all work as a team and have a lot of fun!

Requirements
You are an engineer with a few years of work experience in the automotive industry, or maybe you are a graduate engineer with unique skills and the right attitude.
You have an academic education at university level (Bachelor or Master) in Integrated Product Design, Mechanical Engineering, Vehicle Engineering or similar.
It is necessary that you do communicate fluently in English, in both speech and writing.
The work tasks are both individual and collaborative in a high paced environment which demand skills in communication, collaboration and taking initiatives.
Work experience from similar positions is a merit, but not a requirement.
