We have the aspiration to have the most skilled and engaged employees in the industry and we are now looking for a Design Engineer to strengthen the Cab Exterior Umeå & Customer Adaptation team within Vehicle Engineering Gothenburg, CAB department.
As Design Engineer you will be a key contributor to the success of our customers. You will have colleagues around the world, all passionate about trucks and engineering solutions. Together we develop premium solutions tailored for the customer's needs in a quick and efficient way.
What we can offer you
As a member of our team you will have an exciting, interesting and diversified employment. You are expected to take the role of design engineer with focus on BIW maintenance and BIW development of special vehicle solutions at Cab. Within special vehicle development you will work in small cross functional teams with quick and lean project execution where the focus is low volume and time to market. Within BIW maintenance you will have an important Front office role as a link between BIW development in Gothenburg and the Cab manufacturing plant in Umeå.
Requirements
Bachelor or Master degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
Proven CAD and PDM experience, preferably Catia V5, PDM-Link and KOLA
Experience of designing BIW structure and class A surfaces for automotive is seen as a plus
Practical hands-on experience of building/modifying steel structures is seen as a plus
Minimum 5 year mechanical engineering experience
Fluent in English, both written and spoken
