Description
Do you have a burning interest for printing technology and a curious mind? If so, the position as Design Developer could be your next challenge.
A design developer s main role is to evaluate designs printed at Tetra Pak in print technical terms. This includes designs mainly printed with Flexo technology and to some extend offset printed designs. Tools available are Tetra Pak print specifications to be respected as well as programs like RTI viewer (Kodak) or BackStage viewer (ESKO).
In this dynamic position our Market Companies, our Converting Factories and repro suppliers will be your main interfaces. To train our customer and their design agencies in print technique and printed end result is another important task in this role. Today design data is managed in easyDesign which is an ad on to SAP/R3. The Design Developer will as well include the role to become the super user of easyDesign. This will lead to train people within this cluster in how to use our designs handling program.
Qualifications
Your educational background is probably within printing technology and working knowledge in colour separation and colour management is desired. Experience in printing is as important as the knowledge of print theories and print quality measuring tools, such as densitometer and spectrophotometer. Proofing knowledge is also seen as beneficial. ESKO software knowledge as well as experience in working in administrative systems is a bonus. Basic knowledge in WCM methodology and/or Six Sigma is finally highly preferable to have as we will work more and more with those kinds of activities.
We believe that you have a high technical interest and are used to work independently. In your way of working you are both curious and thorough. To communicate with others comes then natural to you and you enjoy building networks. Finally you must speak and write English fluently and if you have additional language skills, it will be considered meritorious.
This position will require some travelling (10-15 days/year) mainly within our cluster.
