Analytics & BI Delivery is a new function and part of the DATA organization within Group Digital & IT, with the goal to unlock the power of data for Volvo Group to become a fully data-driven company! With data, the core component of our transformation journey, we will, together with our data talents, make the Volvo Group 2030 vision happen. We have an ambitious transformation in front of us, with an implementation of the Data Layer in Azure to delivery of data products and services to the users within Volvo Group.
We collaborate and co-create with other parts of the organization, in Group Digital & IT with TD/BAs and Group Functions. We foster an environment where ideas, thoughts and opinions can be shared. We are team players with clear common ambitions, and we win together.
In Analytics & BI we drive the delivery, focused on fulfilling the business needs within different data and analytics domains, in close collaboration with our key stakeholders and users.
This is how you could make an impact
We are now looking for a colleague to join the Advanced Analytics & BI team for Volvo trucks in the position as Delivery Manager. Your role is to lead, enable and to secure deliveries of data- and value driven digital products for Volvo Trucks.
As a Delivery Manager you act as the Product Manager responsible for the product portfolio over its lifecycle and securing product deliveries to Volvo trucks. You act with a clear view that everyone needs to play their part synchronized and with a transparency of what will happen next. You have a strong business value mindset, at the same time you have technical insights to be an active part of joint dialogues and creations of road maps, lifecycle management of products, and you actively pay attention to operational hurdles. You are an active learner and contribute with new insights in Analytics & BI. You are curious with a know-how in emerging analytics technology and how it best can provide value to our users. Furthermore, you will shape the way we deliver value to customers, have a key role in the journey to transform our way of working towards agile principles. You will work with multiple DevSecOps teams that includes diverse competencies in the field of data engineers, architects, data scientist, data analysts and business analysts.
These are some selected responsibilities:
Setting the strategy and roadmap for your delivery / product area in close collaboration with stakeholders
Prioritizing the portfolio and backlogs of digital product solutions and capabilities together with the stakeholders
Define the roadmap and translate them into human and technology resources as well as budgets together with the stakeholders
Leveraging the North Star Architecture to release differentiated business solutions decoupled from our core solutions
Driving modernization and transformation towards decoupled digital products
Securing proper staffing and agile way of working (DevSecOps) and be a strong advocate for agile mindset and practices across the product teams - in collaboration with chapters
Lead with a product ownership approach, product lifecycle management from idea to decommission
Innovate to support value, quality, performance, and speed to market on our data products
Follow-up and forecast cost, deliveries, and value contribution
Create and support SLAs when needed
Foster an open, honest, and collaborative mindset within the team and with stakeholders
Who are you?
We believe you want to take your career to the next level, working with amazing people around the world. To be successful in this position we believe you have a university degree or equivalent, and several years of experience in the field of data & analytics.
In your previous roles, you have delivered value by creating state of the art analytic and BI applications for critical business usage and understand the latest development in the data management area and how this can be applied to Analytics & BI. Furthermore, it is beneficial if you have experience from the truck business and manage the products and deliveries with a roadmap approach.
The right candidate will be able to operate and implement digital products effectively, dealing with ambiguity, and managing changing priorities. You should be passionate about driving transformation in a business focused, fact-based, and collaborative way to achieve real impact. This role requires solid communication skills and a passion for inspiring and delivering innovative digital solutions.
In addition to this, you are a passionate believer in continuous learning. You should feel energized by working both independently and interdependently, have proven skills in cross-functional collaboration and thrive in managing, foster, and enable both the perform and the transform angles of the job.
Required competencies
Min. 2 years of experience as a Delivery Manager/Product Manager of BI & Advanced Analytics solutions
Knowledge of the BI & Advanced Analytics solutions & agile development methodology
Highly developed interpersonal skills: communication, cooperation, negotiation
Strong organization skills, high level of accuracy, sense of urgency and attention to quality
"Can-do' and problem-solving attitude
Fluency in English
