This position as manager is located at the refinery in Gothenburg.
Key responsibilities
The area of responsibility includes budgeting and cost follow up for two of the units at the refinery and the laboratory. You will manage a work force of 9 people including four daytime operators, one forklift driver, three laboratory engineers and one Quality leader.
You will also have the operational responsibility of the refinery waste water treatment unit.
Your responsibilities include development of the work force in terms of safety and competence as well as budgeting and cost follow up.
You will co-operate daily with the rest of the operating organization, maintenance department, depot and production planning.
You will be a member of the production management team and report directly to the production manager in Gothenburg.
Among your main challenges are to guide and coach the team to achieve efficient and reliable production and lab analysis, and to improve the safety and reliability of the workforce, units and lab.
Duties
• Manage and distribute work within your responsibilities.
• Development of staff, units and lab.
• Be the operating representative in projects and maintenance work.
• Perform troubleshooting and investigations at unit malfunctions and deviations.
• Act as replacement for work permit issuer for the entire refinery.
• Perform training sessions and courses. Develop training and operational instructions.
• You report directly to the production manager in Gothenburg.
Candidate profile
• MSc or BSc in Chemical or Mechanical engineering.
• At least five years experience from working within the process or oil refining industry.
• At least a few years experience as manager
• Communicates fluently in both Swedish and English
• Has a strong commitment to safe and reliable operation.
• Has a strong awareness of safety, quality and environmental issues.
• Is a team player with strong personal skills
• Is interested in developing other people, the organization and the process units.
The position is a permanent full-time position and includes participation in the refinery on-call operation. Driving license is required. Access to car is an advantage since it eases up your journey to work. Within Nynas AB's Swedish operations we apply random alcohol and drug testing.
To do well in this position you need to be self-reliant, analytic, and accurate, have the ability to work independently as well as in teams, sometimes under time constraints. You are structured and result oriented with strong communication skills. You should have a drive for results, a concern for doing a good job.
