Watty is a start-up in Stockholm's booming tech sector that helps customers reduce their energy use. We are looking for another quick-learning, detail-oriented person to join our data collection team and help us build the smartest energy monitoring service on the market.
About you
To feel comfortable in this job you need to be a good multitasker that dislikes bad organisation and have an eye for detail. You enjoy meeting new people and love making people enthusiastic about the things you are passionate about. Getting your hands a bit dusty isn't something you find off-putting, and you are probably a practical sort of person that knows how to use a screwdriver.
This job guarantees that you will become an expert in the energy pattern of different appliances that random people talk to about their heating systems and energy use - and that you will find it an interesting topic of conversation.
About us and the role
We believe that informed users are empowered to make real changes in the market. By breaking down energy data into single appliances in our app, we can show energy use patterns over time and show where money and electricity is wasted.
Our machine learning platform is able to identify the signatures of different appliances in the data and calculate the energy use. A little bit like voice recognition, where the machines are the different voices.
To teach our systems what the different machines â'sound like', we need to collect a lot of data, which we do by installing meters in real households.
The role we are now looking to fill would assist in building up our vital database of energy data.
Job description
A typical week at the job would include the following:
Contacting and visiting data collection leads to evaluate suitability as data collection cases
Setting up and conducting installations of measurement equipment in households together with electricians
Monitoring of measurement data
Analysing measurement data patterns and communicating this to measurement families
Maintaining a good relationship by making sure that we are communicating well with our measurement families
Requirements
Minimum 2 year work experience, preferably in a customer-facing role or a Bachelor degree in any field, education involving energy issues a plus
Problem solver with an ability to think ahead and identify potential problem areas beforehand
Technical ability/know-how and keen interest in energy issues
Proven ability to communicate and reach out to customers/public in an effective and pleasant manner
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
Native-level Swedish as well as excellent written and spoken English, other languages a plus
Driving license
Good skills in Excel, Word, and Google Drive
Desirable qualities
Administrational experience
Experience and/or education in numeric analysis
